Auburn hires Iowa State's Gene Chizik

You might be wondering what the brain trust over at the Auburn Athletic Director's office must be thinking to crowbar Iowa State football coach Gene Chizik away from
the great Potato State.

Let's face it, in 2 years, Chizik has managed to compile a 5-19 record for the I.S.U.
football team. Perhaps they are dyslexic over at Auburn and they thought it was 19-5. Now THAT would make sense.

(OK, Chizik has been part of two impressive teams as the defensive coach of Auburn, who went undefeated in 2004, and then in 2005, he was with the Texas Longhorns, who captured the national title.)

Still, I have to wonder about this move for Auburn. He's now a head coach. Not just
defense, and his head coaching record just, blows (as the kids say).
